The Park

Ledreborg Park is open to the public all year round. Your family and/or friends can take a stroll though the beautiful park and visit the restored baroque gardens or take a walk in the surrounding forests which are kept as a natural forest and  not  run commercially. We would ask you to make a donation of Dkr.25.00/per person at the main gate, which goes to towards the maintenance and upkeep of the park.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Realdania Foundation, the central terraced baroque park at Ledreborg underwent a thorough renovation and renewal, in 2004. The new designwas done by landscape architect Torben Schønherr in collaboration with the owner, and the work was carried out from 2004 until 2006. The aim of the project was to demonstrate how to restore and renew an historical park in the 21st century, resulting in low maintenance costs and an infrastructure that can cater to large public events.
The park was inaugurated by Her Majesty Queen Magrethe II accompanied by the Prince Consort in the spring of 2007.
