Information

Since 1994, the Dansih Radio’s National Chamber Orchestra has held annual castle concerts in Ledreborg Park. As a rule of thumb the concerts are held on the 3rd weekend of August.
Due to the shape and topography of the park as a valley, the acoustics are excellent. For families and friends alike it has become a tradition to go to the castle concerts at Ledreborg,  where Hans-Otto Bisgaard a well known Danish disc jockey hosts the event.
Please read the following before you call on tel 35 20 62 62:
11Â tips to get the best out of the concerts.
Venue
To avoid queues at the Amalienborg gate, we have arranged an official meeting area just beside the car park at the end of Ledreborg avenue, in front of the entrance. A large sign indicates the meeting point, which is also close to the  busstop.
Remember to pick-up the picnic basket - avoid a detour!
When the gates open, we understand that people are in a hurry to find a perfect spot in the park. But if you have bought a picnic basket, please remember to pick it up at Meyer’s Kitchen tent on the way down to the concert site. You will find Meyers Kitchen tent along the path, around 100 meters after you pass the entrance at the Amalieborg gate.
NOTE: If you have you already purchased a ticket but would like to order a picnic basket from Meyer’s Kitchen, it can be purchased by contacting DR Shop (Tel. 35 20 62 62) 3 days before the first concert.
Without tables and chairs
This year we have booked an area directly in front of the stage where only picnic on rugs can take place – no tables and chairs please. The area is reserved for people with or without food baskets but you are allowed to take low beach chairs. We ask everyone with tables and traditional chairs not to use enter the area, which is marked on the map and which is cordoned off with red and white bands.

Toilets for the disabled are situated in the toilet area on the left hand side of the stage and in the toilet area at the bottom of the park.
First Aid
If disaster strikes, we have in co-operation with Event Safety established an emergency team, where first aid is provided. The location of the first aid station is shown on the map. If you are in need of first aid please contact the Castle Concert personnel. Be sure to give a brief description of your ailment.
Security and a good experience for all
Give space - and show respect. For security reasons we ask that you please keep all walkways free. Vehicle access routes are marked with signs, which must also be kept free for emergency exits at all times. Use of open fires such as disposable barbecues are strictly prohibited. Once the concert begins at 3.00 pm, we ask that all sun parasols are folded dwon.Â
Please clear up after yourself and your party
There are rubbish bins located several areas. We encourage everyone to use them, so the area continues to be kept nice and clean.
Getting Home Safely
When the concert ends at 6 p.m., almost everyone is thinking about heading home. But please remember, that several thousand  people are gathered in a relatively small area. Why wait in a queue, when you could be relaxing with your famuily and friends in Ledreborg’s spectacular baroque park .
